Victor Vaughan Award for Special Education

About the Award

Larry and Ruth Vaughan established this fund in 1990 to honor the memory of their son, Victor Vaughan. Victor exemplified persistence and dedication in honing his talents and skills during his time in Lincoln Public Schools. His hard work and passion led to a remarkable achievement as a member of the 84th Army Band in Europe, following his graduation from Lincoln High School in 1963.  
 

Applying for the Award

Award Amount: $1,500 

Awards Available: 2 (one early childhood or elementary special education teacher and one secondary special education teacher)

Criteria: Any LPS Special Education teacher.

Nominating Process: Nominations may be submitted by any individual. Self-nominations will not be accepted. 

Selection Process: The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools Awards Committee will facilitate the selection committee.
