About the Award
The Union Bank & Trust Award for Excellence in Financial Literacy Education was established in 2010. The award is given to recognize Lincoln Public School educators who strive to find creative ways to incorporate financial literacy into their classroom setting.
Financial literacy is the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being. It includes fostering the ability to make sound financial decisions, plan for the future, and respond competently to life events that affect daily financial decisions.
