About the Award
The LPS Music Educator Award was created in the 2022-2023 school year and annually recognizes an LPS teacher who demonstrates a remarkable commitment to music education and students. The monetary award is restricted solely to professional learning opportunities for the recipient.
Applying for the Award
Award Amount: $1,000
Criteria: This award is available to any Lincoln Public Schools K-12 music teacher who has taught in LPS for five or more years and who demonstrates excellence in teaching music
Nominating Process: Nominations may be submitted by any individual or group. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Selection Process: The Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools Awards Committee will facilitate the selection committee, with input from the LPS Supervisor of Music. The Supervisor of Music will serve as a non-voting committee chair, including a retired LPS music educator, a current administrator, and a community member at large.
